I am excited to share that MoEngage has been recognized as one of the Top 20 companies in Diversity at DivHERsity Awards 2021 (Start-up/SME category), by Jobs For Her (India’s largest online career platform for Women). This one-of-a-kind gender diversity award is curated to support and recognize the commitment and excellence of Indian companies in increasing female participation in the workforce. This award recognizes MoEngage’s continued efforts to accelerate female inclusion and gender parity in our workspace.
Why is this recognition important to us?
Our inclusion in this is a strong testament to our commitment towards inclusion and diversity at all levels and also to our people-philosophy. People are at the heart of our business and everything that we do and this recognition highlights our ability to commit to gender parity and inclusion of women. We are an equal opportunity organization and are committed to building a lively workspace for people from diverse backgrounds.
This award is all the more exciting for us as this comes on a week where we celebrate womanhood around the world – International Women’s Day 2021. We pledge to strive and make MoEngage a great place to work for everyone and choose to challenge gender inequalities in the workplace in the forms of gender bias, norms, and stereotypes, and bring about gender parity!
More often than not, startups fail to realize that there is another factor that determines the success or failure of their business apart from building the right product, achieving desired product-market fit, and getting the economies of their businesses right – and that is company culture and inclusion and diversity! The COVID-19 outbreak and its impact on businesses have been huge and to a certain extent, the previously much-prioritized conversations around Diversity and Inclusion have taken a back seat for many. Against the backdrop of this new normal, employees are often seen struggling to juggle work, life, homeschool kids, physical and mental wellness, and a lot more altogether! It certainly has had a major impact on how working women are trying to maintain that work-life balance. And for this reason, inclusion and diversity should become more important than ever.
And therefore it is right now, more than ever, critical for us to talk more about gender parity at workplaces and beyond, challenge inequalities, and celebrate the achievements of women.
What is next?
We are incredibly proud to be recognized as a company for diversity and this is just the beginning! We remain committed to creating a balanced workplace for all genders and ensure the wellness of all.
The current women diversity ratio is around 30% of the total workforce and we promise to work hard and make it an equal ratio soon! Having women in leadership positions leads to a more positive environment all around. Diverse experiences and perspectives contribute greatly to bringing innovation and better decision-making. And thus we will strive to have more women in leadership roles in the coming times. We also have plans in creating a collaborative mentorship culture and empowering our diverse workforce. Tech at MoEngage celebrates women who have been the pillars in the technology innovation space and strive to have more participation and impact from women and other diverse sections of the society. Our policies and programs will also ensure we spare no efforts in creating a workplace where everyone contributes meaningfully in their own unique ways.
We applaud the commitment and contribution our women have had in creating a balanced growth for the organization and #choosetochallenge gender inequalities and biases.
We are also hiring for multiple roles. If you want to join us and help us create a world-class product and impact millions across the globe while working with an extraordinary team, check out our job openings and see if there’s a fit for you!
