Although every day is an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of girls and women, for over a hundred years, International Women’s Day has marked the celebration and advocacy for women’s rights and equality worldwide.
This year’s official theme is #BreakTheBias, which calls for action to challenge the status quo of gender roles by raising awareness against bias, celebrating women’s achievement, and taking action for equality.
It’s more important than ever that everyone around the globe makes noise about International Women’s Day, regardless of how they choose to identify themselves. There is a need to progress towards gender equality at a faster pace and speak up against gender bias across the globe.
We celebrate this year’s International Women’s Day by bringing you thoughts from 24 inspirational women leaders in tech on:
The tech industry continues to lag in instilling equality in the workplace. Only 37% of tech startups have at least one woman on the board of directors, and women hold only about 25% of jobs in tech (source).
MoEngage believes that a diverse and inclusive workforce inspires innovation, which leads to building great products. We achieve this by embedding diversity and inclusion into our company policies and culture. Together, let’s raise awareness against gender bias, celebrate women’s achievements in tech, and drive equality in the workplace.
