Problem
Both a pop-up message and a GIF-based in-app nudge are displayed simultaneously, even though they were expected to appear separately.Cause
- A pop-up in-app message is an intrusive template. A GIF-based in-app message is a nudge, which is a non-intrusive template.
- Because the global minimum delay does not apply to nudges, a GIF-based nudge is not suppressed by it and can display alongside a pop-up that’s already showing.
- Therefore, overlap between a pop-up and a GIF-based nudge is an expected outcome when running campaigns with nudges.
Solution
Perform the following steps:- Publish the pop-up and the GIF-based nudge campaign on two different screens.
- Add a delay to one of the campaigns to prevent them from appearing at the same time.
