How to Set One Up
1
Connect your data warehouse
Grant MoEngage read access and set up the connection. The steps differ by warehouse. Required for both methods below.Connect Your Data Warehouse
2
Choose how you define the audience
Write a SQL query, or build the segment from dropdown filters. See the comparison below.
3
Map your warehouse schema (filters only)
To use the filter builder, map your warehouse tables to MoEngage users, events, and attributes in Settings.Warehouse Schema
Two Ways to Define a Warehouse Segment
Both methods run against your warehouse and produce a custom segment you can target with a campaign.
Use filters for everyday audience building. Use SQL when your logic needs aggregations or transformations the filter builder does not cover.
